PRINT MEDIA PRODUCTION - THE PROCESS

PRE-PRODUCTION process

The pre production is where all the teams from different job roles might come together and discuss about what should be in the newspaper or even magazines, the news on the day, weekly or monthly. this only happens rarely and if the teams come together, the publisher might be there to see what's going on with everything.

PRODUCTION process

The purpose for the production team is to get the texts, images  and might even have other designs to be used in a future newspaper/magazines. the production will have writers doing articles and match the workcounts they have been given and they have deadlines, they have been decided by the section editors too follow the tasks they have been given.

POST-PRODUCTION process

The post production process will have designers to take all the checks from the text to images. this will come from the picture editors, sub editors, section editors, finally all of this work will come together using indesign  and following the plan they been given.

FINAL PRINT RUN process

The final print run will be the final deadline for all teams that are working towards the final pieces for the newspapers and magazines.  This will take place indesign for all the designs and arts pieces the  team have created.  editors and publishers will come and oversee everything the team as done and see if there any mistakes because if they don't check the finish pieces will get printed anyway and if this gets to reading hand they will notice mistakes and might off put them form reading the newspaper or magazines.
